Feed in Tariffs

The Feed in Tariff is a government backed scheme to help people reduce their carbon footprint and energy bills.  The scheme also helps people to become more self-sufficient with energy and earn some extra money.  The tariffs are paid to anyone that owns a renewable electricity system.  All payments are Tax FREE and index linked Guaranteed for 25 years.

Earn money

You earn a fixed income for every kilowatt hour of electricity you generate and use in your property.  You also earn an additional fixed income for every kilowatt of electricity you generate and sell back to the grid.

How it Works

All electricity that is supplied by you, you get paid for by your energy supplier.  The rates currently stand at 13.88p per unit (or kW) in 2015. 

All the electricity your home generates can by used by you, however if you generate surplus electricity you can sell it back to your electricity supplier and get paid 4.77p per unit (kW).

The tariffs become payable in April 2010 and are guaranteed by the government for 20 years.
